Brown Sugar Garlic Steak

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Skirt Steak
  • 2 tbsp Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1.25 tsp Flaky Sea Salt
  • 3-4 Cloves Garlic Roughly Chopped

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl or roasting tray whisk together the Sugar, Vinegar, Worcestershire Sauce, Olive Oil, Lemon Juice, Salt & Garlic.
  • Add the steak and toss in the marinade until coated. Cover and leave in the fridge for 30 minutes.
    After 30 minutes turn the steak and leave out of the fridge to take the chilll off.
  • Remove the Steak from the marinade and pat dry with paper towel.
  • Cook the steak either in a preheated grill for 6 minutes a side or in a cast iron skillet or large frying pan.
    Cooking time will very depending on the thickness of your steak and what temperature you are aiming for. A thermometer here will give you the best result if you are unsure.
    Serve with a rocket and green bean salad and skin on poato wedges - perfect.

Leftovers Tip

Almost nothing beats this steak cold in a sandwich with a mustard mayo and a handful of rocket.
