Have you ever wanted to make homemade ice cream but don’t have an ice cream machine? If so then this is the recipe for you. This No Churn Cookies and Cream Ice Cream is unbelievably simple, it uses just 4 ingredients and hardly any effort. This could be the ultimate summer dessert to stash in the freezer. The perfect way to end your barbecues and your guests will think you slaved over this.

The base of this No Churn Cookies and Cream Ice Cream can be used to create as many flavours as you can think of. Simply add in the flavours that you want, peppermint extract and chocolate chips for mint choc chip. If you wish you can throw in green food colouring as well. Desiccated coconut and milk chocolate chips gives you a delicious ice cream as well. Let your imagination run wild. All you need is double cream and condensed milk. However I will say you don’t want to add much more liquid so if you wanted coffee for example then add ground espresso powder.

All of my no churn ice creams have come about as riffs from queen Nigella Lawson’s recipes. In particular her No Churn Coffee Ice Cream. Once you have the right ratio of cream and condensed milk you can really make this your own. My next no churn creation will be pretzels and m&ms which I can’t wait for. I just need to clear space in my freezer. If you don’t have a lot of space in your freezer these no churn ice creams are perfect as you don’t need to freezer the bowl of a machine. Or shell out for a high end one.

I do have an ice cream machine and I used to use it a lot. I then moved and the flat I was renting came with a freezer that didn’t fit the bowl of my ice cream machine! Absolute disaster. However I found the joy of no churn ice creams and smoothie bowls. My freezer now can fit my ice cream machine bowl and all is right with the world. So I get the best of both worlds.

No Churn Cookies and Cream Ice Cream

Delicious ice cream that is so simple to make

Ingredients
  

  • 300 ml Double Cream
  • 175 g Condensed Milk
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 100 g Oreos about 9 Oreos

Instructions
 

  • Firstly smash up your Oreos until you have some chunks some crumbs and some dust.
  • Take a large bowl tip in the Double Cream, Condensed Milk & Vanilla Extract and whip until you have soft peaks.
  • Fold in the bashed Oreos so they are fully incorporated.
  • Tip into an airtight container and freeze for 6-8 hours – I find over night works brilliantly.
